The ride is part of the appointment.

Missed appointments are often transport problems. So Asa treats the journey as part of the care: patients get a ride to their appointment, from Uber, Lyft or taxi to specialized medical transport, arranged in the same conversation where they booked it.

How it works

Asa books the appointment on WhatsApp or SMS. If the patient is eligible and if getting there is the barrier, Asa offers a ride in the same thread: the right vehicle for the patient's needs, matched to the appointment time, through MediDrive's nationwide transportation network. If the appointment moves, the ride moves with it. No separate number to call, no voucher, no second app.

Why it matters

Transport is one of the most common, most fixable reasons care doesn't happen, and it falls hardest on the patients who most need to be seen: older patients, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid members, people managing long-term conditions.

For health systems, that means fewer missed appointments and stronger patient engagement. For payers, higher appointment adherence, more predictable transportation benefit utilisation, and less administrative burden.
